Activities done this week:IB Learner Attribute Thinker was focused to enhance
thinking skill about the
application of principles in machines.

to develop thinking skills.
Subject: Unit Of Inquiry
Topic: Simple Machine
Lines of Inquiry:
- The principles and types of simple and compound machines
- Inventions which use the principles of simple machines.
- The application of simple machines in our lives
Activities done this week:
Students described each simple machines drew it, wrote the principle of the the
particular machine and give examples of it.
Students explained and represented their group for each simple machine through
gallery walk.
Students wrote the definition of work, force and energy retell and demonstrated
the interrelation between these three through the football activity.
Students wrote the definition of motion, friction, and gravity. They used the magnet
and develop the understanding about gravity and motion through it.
Students wrote the definition of effort, load, gears, and fulcrum.
Upcoming activities/ HW: Assessment FA1 to be conducted on Monday i.e., 3rd Dec
Learn the definitions of simple machines and its principles. Refer UOI book.

- Students practiced different types of patterns.
- Shape pattern, number pattern, symmetry and mirror image.
- An assessment in abacus was conducted.

Grammar: Students learnt about tenses in simple form and made sentences using it.
Reading: Students continued to read chapter 2 from Charlotte’s Web

- Students were introduced to types of letters.
- Students compared formal and informal letters through venn diagram.
Listening and speaking: JAM session was done on the topic “My favourite colour”.
