Activities done this week: The learner profile attributes we focused this week are inquirer and
open minded   as we are in our learning of the unit “Stories”.
The LOI 3 Was also introduced to the students.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Activities done this week : .The students were engaged in listening and relating to different
techniques of telling stories,  through interesting story telling sessions.

They read and rewrote   stories using the rebus story method.
They also revised their learning of story elements. FA 1 was conducted in LOI 1.

Upcoming activities/ HW:  

Subject: Math

Activities done this week:  The students were engaged in writing and learning number names from
11 to 20  in their notebooks.They also did data handling and pictograph worksheets.
Students were engaged in analyzing and interpreting information from the data depicted in
the data handling worksheets

Upcoming activities/ HW:  Work given in the note books.

Subject: English

Activities done this week: Students were involved in reading and comprehending  short
story passages through worksheets. They applied their comprehending and understanding
skills to answer the related questions thereby enhancing their reading skills, vocabulary skills ,
application skills etc. They  revisited the sight words list 3 in their notebooks.

Students brainstorm  the uses and sources of water  and

create the spider map in a notebook

Note down the  question and answer in a notebook

Sort out the uses of water according to a specific area

Students identified how water changes its form, a teacher read the book ‘Water is water ‘

اور تصاویر کو الفاظ سے جور ملایا گیا۔

• An inquiry activity of different civilisation was done in the class in groups.
• Students were given notes on Roman and Chinese civilisation.
• Students wrote in brief about the government,  religion and writing of the given civilization.
• A video on Roman and Chinese civilization was shown to the students.

Dear Parents,

This is to inform you that, in relation to the ongoing unit, ‘Civilization’ C4 will be going on a field trip on Tuesday, 5 Feb 2019 to Centenary Heritage Museum and Salarjung Museum to enhance their understanding.                                                                                

We request you to send the child in proper school uniform with UOI book and dry snacks and lunch. Regular school timings will be followed.
