Central Idea: Development of means of transport changed the

ability of humans to move about

Lines of Inquiry:

• means of transportation( on land, in air, in water)
• importance of transportation in our life
• development of the forms of transportation means through time

Activities done this week:

Students read and understand about the development of means of transport

and its effect through jigsaw reading

Students note down the differences between old and

the latest mode of transport in a notebook

Students were Inquirer this week. They developed their natural curiosity, and acquired the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research to show independence in learning. They actively enjoyed learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.


Upcoming activities / HW: Students will be Knowledgeable next week. They will develop and use conceptual understanding and explore knowledge across a range of disciplines. Students will engage with issues and ideas that have local and global significance

Students watched videos related to the major organ systems in our body.

Students identified each organ and how they contribute towards the smooth functioning of a system.

In connection to the PYPX, Students identified how Central Idea is designed and framed a model of the Central Idea.

Students studied interdependence of systems in detail.

Upcoming activities/ HW:  Design the Central Idea for the PYP Exhibition keeping in mind the issues discussed under Global Warming.
