Central Idea: Development of means of transport changed the

ability of humans to move about

Lines of Inquiry:

• means of transportation( on land, in the air, in water)
• importance of transportation in our life
• development of the forms of transportation means through time

Activities done this week:

Students classified the use of transport according to the needs in a group activity

and write question and answer in a notebook.

Students understand  the meaning of public and private means of transport

and write differences between public and private means of transport in a notebook

Students sort out slow and fast moving vehicles  by making a T-chart

Students demonstrated their understanding about means of transport in the quiz.

Activities done this week: Students were Knowledgeable this week. They developed and used conceptual understanding and explored knowledge across a range of disciplines. Students engaged with issues and ideas that have local and global significance.


Upcoming activities / HW: Students will be Inquirer next week. They will develop their natural curiosity, and acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research to show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.

Students watched videos related to the major organ systems in our body.

Students identified each organ and how they contribute towards the smooth functioning of a system.

Just-A-Minute (JAM) session was conducted.

Students studied the Nervous, Skeletal, Urinary and Integumentary system in detail.

Students made flow chart on each system as a follow up activity.

Upcoming activities/ HW:  Prepare a powerpoint presentation on any one body system or create a detailed flow chart.

Students were explained how complementary and supplementary angles are formed.

Students solved problems based on Complementary and supplementary angles.

Grammar: conjunctions were taught in detail. Students wrote examples to show their understanding of conjunctions.

Activities done this week: The learner profile attributes we focused this week are inquirer and
open minded   as we are in our learning of the unit “Stories”. The students also focused on the
attribute of being Reflective as they have written their assessments in English and Math.

Activities done this week : .The students were engaged in listening and relating to different stories,
their themes and their morals through interesting story telling sessions.

They listed down the different story elements in their notebooks and have understood the meaning and importance of each element.
