Subject: Learner’s Profile

Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week was being COURAGEOUS.
It means to be brave and confident to learn new things. It was great to see the children being little
inquirers putting on their thinking caps by making the flow chart of the new them, classifying and
grouping animals on their own understanding, and also getting enthusiastic to find out more about
their new topic Adaptation. They even reflected their action and its consequences towards their
environment.

Upcoming activities / HW:

It was a great pleasure to see the students enjoying the activities in class. The LEARNER PROFILE

TOPIC:-  Adaptation

CENTRAL IDEA:-   Living things are affected by and adapt to the natural world.

LINES OF INQUIRY:-   

1. Characteristics of the major habitats/biomes.(Forms=> How is it like?)
2. Physical adaptations and behavioral adaptations that allow an animal to survive in their biome.
3. (Causation=>Why is it like it is?)
4. Connection between animals and the people in those habitats.(Connection=>How is it
5. connected to other things?)

LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS:

Pre-assessment:-  STAND ALONE

1. Discussion on the theme and the descriptor.
2. Break-up of the keywords of the theme.
3. Students brainstormed on the theme and made a Flowchart.
4. Shown videos on animal classification.

Activities done this week:

LARGE NUMBERS:-

1. Learned 3 & 4 times tables and did a quiz on it.
2. Mental math with Ten Quick Questions.

ROMAN NUMBERS:-

1. Students recollected, recalled, and did an assessment on Roman numerals to Arabic and  vice versa.

ORDINAL NUMBERS;-

1. Students understood and identified ordinal & cardinal numbers.
2. Students wrote down in their notebooks ordinal & cardinal numbers.

1. Students had to revise the spellings of ordinal & cardinal numbers from their notebooks.

LISTENING & SPEAKING:-

1. Students were assessed on their understanding of Antonyms.
2. Introduction to singular & plurals.
3. Practice and examples of Singular & Plurals.

Celebrated Inter-school naat competition and it was a great success, FS bagged out second prize in group naat recitation. Our class student Ibrahim Wali Ullah recited naat very well.

FS students participated in Cultural fest in Meridian school.
