Weekly lesson report:     21 Date: 10th November-  16th November Class:1A

Subject: Learner Profile  

Activities done this week: The learner profile attribute which we focused 

 this  week is ‘reflection’ students did field trip reflection

Upcoming activities / HW: The learner profile attribute will be continued as

 students will do summative assessment

Central idea:

People build homes in different places and different ways.

Line of inquiry: What constitutes home.

How homes differ from one region to other.

Materials used in housing construction.

Activities done this week:

Students complete the field trip reflection sheet,

 identified the materials used in constructing 

different types of Homes and completed the question and answer 

 in the notebook.

Students reflected about materials used in constructing 

different types of homes in Formative assessment 3.

Students recap the activities done in a unit and completed

 the reflection sheet.

Upcoming activities/ HW:   

 In notebook draw any favorite home, write what material would be needed to build it and the area it will be built. complete the parent reflection sheet sent. SA on 19/11

Students recall the numbers and write numbers 301-400,

compared numbers using sign <,> or = in pre-assessment 

created different houses in 3D Shapes

understand the measurement of weight in grams and kilograms 

and write in the  notebook

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week was being BALANCED. It means to do things in correct proportion. It was great to see the children being little inquirers putting on their thinking caps by identifying their needs and wants and also getting enthusiasm to find out more about their new topic ECONOMICS and its terminology. They even reflected and tried to buy only the things that they need.

Upcoming activities / HW:

It was great pleasure to see the  students enjoying the activities in class. The  LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that we will be focussing next week is being BALANCED. It means to do things in correct proportion.It was great to see the children being little inquirers putting on their thinking caps by identifying their needs and wants and also getting enthusiasm to find out more about their new topic ECONOMICS and its terminology. They even reflected and tried to buy only the things that they need. Please help them in their work. Thank you!

CENTRAL IDEA:-  Economic activity relies on systems of production, exchange and consumption of goods and services.

LINES OF INQUIRY:-

1. The role of supply and demand - Function(How does it work?)
2. The relationship between location & settlement - Connection(How is it connected to other things?)
3. Our responsibility as a consumer - Responsibility(What is our responsibility?)

LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS:

Going further:-

1. Students learnt about the process(survey of school community)for the most demanded goods and services through hands on experience(Fun-Fair Mela).                                             
2. For deeper understanding and ingraining the knowledge consumers rights and responsibilities was done through role-play..    
3. Students reflected on the topic through the reflection sheet.
