Activities did this week: The students were engaged in understanding and associating the various characteristics to the different public spaces through a provocative and interactive classroom discussion. The teacher used the different public spaces models made by the students to make the session more comprehensible and retainable.

Subject: Math

Activities did this week: The students were engaged in strengthening their understanding of the concept of Patterns and their functions using different strategies. They did activities involving the extension of patterns and also created their own patterns. The students were enthusiastically involved in making their own patterns using varied manipulatives thereby enhancing their creative thinking skills and strengthening their understanding of the mathematical concept of patterns.

The students were involved in strengthening their skip counting by 2s skills by predicting and reciting numbers through skip counting by 2s technique followed by a follow-up worksheet.

Activities did this week:  The students were engaged in reading and writing words with digraph 'wh', ‘th’, ‘ph’ thereby enhancing their vocabulary and strengthening their reading skills. They also watched demonstrative videos of the digraphs (ch, wh, sh, th, ph ) to make the learning more retainable. The students read and wrote the CVC words with 'i ' vowel using their firefly books thereby enhancing their reading writing skills and vocabulary skills.

Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week was being BALANCED. It means to do things in correct proportion. It was great to see the children being little inquirers putting on their thinking caps by identifying their needs and wants and also getting enthusiasm to find out more about their new topic ECONOMICS and its terminology. They even reflected and tried to buy only the things that they need.

Upcoming activities / HW:

It was great pleasure to see the  students enjoying the activities in class. The  LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that we will be focussing next week is being BALANCED.
