Subject: Learner’s Profile

Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week was being BALANCED.
It means to do things in correct proportion. It was great to see the children being little inquirers
putting on their thinking caps by identifying their needs and wants and also getting enthusiasm to
find out more about their new topic  ADAPTATION and its terminology. They even reflected and tried
to understand how animals adapt themselves in their biomes

Upcoming activities / HW:

It was great pleasure to see the  students enjoying the activities in class. The  LEARNER PROFILE
ATTRIBUTE that we will be focussing next week is being BALANCED. It means to do things in

TOPIC:- Adaptation

CENTRAL IDEA:-  An inquiry into rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resources
with other people and with other living things; communities and the relationships within and between
them; access to equal opportunities; peace and conflict resolution.

LINES OF INQUIRY:-

1. Characteristics of the major habitat/biomes(Form)           

2.Physical adaptations and behavioral adaptations that allow an animal to survive in their
biome(Causation)
3. The connection between animals and the people in those habitats(connection)

LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS:

Going further:-

1. Students were introduced to the new topic by showing videos.
2. Tunic in activity with different classification of animals
3. Animal diet chart flip activity done .

1.Learnt 2 & 3 times tables and did quiz on it.

1.Practice of Ordinal and Cardinal Numbers.

2. Practice writing sentences using Singular & Plural. .

1. Sight word spell quiz done.
