Central idea: Human migration is a response to challenges, risks and opportunities.
Lines of inquiry:
- The reasons why people migrate
- Migration throughout history
- Effects of migration on communities, cultures and individual.
Finding out:
- Students watched a video on reasons why people migrate and identified factors affecting migration.
- Students listed Positive, Minus and Interesting points related to migration.
- Students did a SWOT analysis of people migrating to India from overseas.
- Formative Assessment in LOI-1 was conducted.
Upcoming activities/ HW: Read Ana’s story and answer the given questions in the worksheet.

Activities done this week: An introduction to rounding of numbers was done. The students were able to do the problems in rounding of numbers to nearest 10’s , 100’s , 1000’s and higher order questions. An activity related to Place Value was practised.

Speaking:
Various activities were done to strengthen speaking skills in students. Aided by pretend telephonic conversations with peers and acting as tour guides, students exchanged ideas about their homeland.
Grammar:
Students selected adjectives for themselves and wrote a poem on “I AM’.
Writing:
Students wrote a poem describing themselves
