Subject: Learner Profile
Activities done this week: The learner profile attribute which is focus this week is inquirers as they explored different emotions and principled.
Upcoming activities / HW:students will practice being “principled” by exhibiting the trait to wait for their turn and raise their hand to speak. Students will also learn to be emotionally balanced by learning more about IB attitudes.

Activities done this week:
- students interpreted and identified emotional characteristics expressed in a story.
- children articulated their understanding of emotions by preparing an outline of self with appropriate emotions they experienced at the moment.
- Students analysed personality traits by playing 2 truths and 1 lie game and

Upcoming activities/ HW: complete the “All about me” worksheet sent by pasting photographs
Subject: Math
Activities done this week:
- students learned the concept of place values - tens and ones.
- they watched the place value song and used pencils to deduce meaning of the tens house and ones house in the place value.
- base ten blocks were used to make numbers in groups.
- students were able to apply their knowledge of place values to complete Firefly workbook.
- formative assessment was conducted to check their understanding of place values and number names to solve given place value worksheet.
Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the place value homework sent in firefly workbook.

Activities done this week: students understood opposites by watching the following opposites video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61vZ8KmIycs
- Students participated in an activity to paste cutouts of opposites on appropriate objects present on chart paper followed by writing the opposites in their notebooks
- understanding of basic sight words was built by reading and writing the same in notebooks
- students searched for sight words in word search worksheet.
Upcoming activities/ HW: complete the word search activity pasted in notebook and learn sight words for spell bee to be held on Monday 02 July 2018
