Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week:  The learner profile attribute we focused this week is Balanced.

Students who are BALANCED are healthy and are aware that eating properly and exercising is important in their lives.

Upcoming activities / HW:  

The learner profile attribute  BALANCED ‘will be focused next week also.

Encourage your child to participate in a wide variety of structured activities like drawing, reading, exercise and play.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Theme: Who we are

Title: Health & Wellbeing

Central idea: The choices people make affect their health and well-being.

Concepts:

Causation, Responsibility, Reflection

·         Lines of inquiry: What it means to have a balanced lifestyle

·         How the choices we make affect our health

·         Different sources of information that help us make choices

Activities done this week: Students inquired about balanced diet, major food groups, made a food pyramid  by pasting pictures on a chart, watched videos about the topic, did a matching activity on joining the broken words related to the unit.

Upcoming activities/ HW:  Learn about balanced diet.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: Students were introduced to the cube strategy to solve word problems,  were engaged in solving word problems, were introduced to 2 D shapes.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Draw some 2 D shapes and the related objects.

Subject: English

Activities done this week:  

Viewing & Presenting: .

Listening & Speaking: Students listened to the stories in the read aloud sessions on the topic dentist, and germs.

Reading: Read self selected stories in magic pot and story books, task cards.

Writing: Students selected topic for  descriptive writing and wrote the same, did picture comprehension, reading comprehension and sentence formation.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Read the given story and answer the following questions.

Activities done this week: ’’ آ ‘‘ کے ساتھ تمام حروف تہجی کو ملا کر لکھا گیا

اور مرکب حروف تہجی کا اعادہ کرتے ہوئے

ان سے آنے والی تصاویر کو پہچان کر ان کا پہلا مرکب حروف لکھا گیا۔                                                                                                                                                    Upcoming activities/ HW: دی گئی تصاویر کو پہچان کر ان کا پہلا حرف پر

دائرہ لگائیے اور مرکب حروف کو پہچان کر ان پر دائرہ لگائیے ساتھ ساتھ نیچے دی گئی جگہ میں لکھئے۔
