The learner profile focus for this week was Reflective. Reflective people give thoughtful consideration to their own learning and personal development. They are able to analyze their strengths and weaknesses in a constructive manner.

TRANSDISCIPLINARY THEME - Where we are in place and time.
Central idea: Human migration is a response to challenges, risks and opportunities.
Lines of inquiry:
- The reasons why people migrate
- Migration throughout history
- Effects of migration on communities, cultures and individual.
Pre-assessment
Students saw a picture on migration and used thinking tool- I see, I think and I wonder to present teir understanding.
Tuning in
- Students did a ‘human graph’ on the number of times they migrated followed by ‘Concentric circle’ activity through which they shared their experience related to migration. This was followed by whole class discussion.
- Students were told a story called ‘The Name Jar, to understand the various challenges faced by migrants in a new country.
- Students watched the song ‘Chitti Aayi Hai’ which was followed by ‘Word-Phrase-Sentence’ activity.
- Students gained knowledge about factors affecting migration

Based on the given questions (in the notebook), interview your classmate, family member or a neighbour.

Activities done this week:
- The students learned to practise number names in Indian system and International system.
- Expanded form of 6 digits numbers
- An activity based on number names changing to standard form was initiated
- Place Value hands on activity was made to practise.

Speaking:
Circle time was taken in getting to know each other better and to build speaking skills. Circle of viewpoint activity was done where students discussed about migration.
Grammar:
Students wrote adjectives and wrote an Acrostic Poem on themselves, their peers and their family.
Writing:
Pre - assessment was taken. Students wrote a descriptive writing on the given topic.
Reading:
Pre - assessment was taken. Students read words in increasing order of difficulty.

Activities done this week: مہاجر اور ہجرت کے عنوان پر اشعار پڑھایا اور لکھوایا گیا تاکہ بچوں کو یہ محسوس ہو کہ ہجرت کرنا کتنا مشکل کام ہے ۔ پھر بھی لوگ ہجرت کیوں کر جاتے ہیں ۔ اس کے علاوہ ایک حمد اسماعیل میرٹھی کی پڑھائی اور لکھائی گئی جسے جگجیت صاحب اور چترا کی آواز اور لحن میں پڑھنا اسیکھایا گیا۔
