Activities done this week: As students joined school after Dussehra break they were practicing to be “principled” in and outside of class and to be good “communicators”
Upcoming activities / HW: students are encouraged to be active “inquirers” and “thinkers” as we progress with new topics in all subjects

Title: Homes
Central Idea: People build homes in different places and different ways
Lines of Inquiry:
• what constitutes a home
• how homes differ from one region to another
• materials used in housing construction
Activities done this week:
• students understood different rooms of the house and different types of homes they come across in their neighborhood by sharing their holiday homework worksheet with their friends.
• Question and Answers about why we need homes and different types of homes in their notebooks
• Students sorted out the pictures of furniture and electronics according to the room of the house to which it belongs
• Children watched several videos on youtube about different types of homes and drew their favorite homes, they also built homes using clay
Upcoming activities/ HW: complete the homework sheet given, FA1 on the first Line of Inquiry to be held on Thursday (1-11-18)

Activities done this week:
• Revision of Odd and even numbers done with an emphasis on identification of odd & even numbers in two-digit numbers by looking at the number in ones place
• Skip counting by 2, 5 and 10 done through various activities and completed in the notebook, skip counting mazes done in groups
Upcoming activities/ HW: Complete the given worksheet by referring pgs 90 -114 in firefly workbook

• Punctuations introduced and examples are done in the notebook
• Actions words introduced through games and rhymes
• Students learned new action commands, a rhyme from the story “Just one paisa”, read sight words and did drama practice from session 23 and 24 in Karadipath
Upcoming activities/ HW: Make sentences on the picture of a home pasted in the notebook with the help of given help box.
Spell drill of sight words given before Dussehra break to be held on Wednesday (31-10-18)
