Activities done this week: The learner profile attributes we focused this week are inquirer and open minded   as we started the new unit “Stories”

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Activities done this week : The children identified with the concept of stories through an provocative , interactive and a guided classroom discussion. They were involved in understanding the central idea and the meaning of the key words. A story session by the Story weavers was attended by the students as a tuning in activity.The students reflected and analysed their own emotions and experiences and expressed them in a form of a short story as a follow up activity.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week:  The students developed their number skills from 80-100. Before and after numbers(80-100)  and the concept of comparison of numbers( < ,> ,= ) was taught and practiced in fire fly books thereby enhancing their number sequencing skills and strengthening the basic mathematical skills.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Work given in fire fly note books.

Subject: English

Activities done this week: The students were engaged in reading and writing  cvc words with 'u’ ' vowel using fire fly books thereby enhancing their reading skills and vocabulary skills. The students revised their learning of sight words.They enhanced their reading skills through reading comprehension worksheets. Blends (bl words ) were also taught and work done in note books.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Work given in notebooks and reading comprehension worksheet given.
