Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week:

The learner profile which was followed this week was Inquirers.

They developed their natural curiosity, and acquired the skills necessary

to conduct inquiry and research to show independence in learning.

They actively enjoyed learning and this love of learning will be sustained

throughout their lives.

Upcoming activities / HW:

Students will continue to be Inquirer next week. They will develop their

natural curiosity, and acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and

research to show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Activities done this week:

TRANSDISCIPLINARY THEME - How we organise ourselves.

Central idea:  Government systems influence the lives of citizens.

Lines of inquiry:

• How government systems function
• How decision-making practices reflect human rights
• Impact of government on citizens
• The rights and responsibilities of citizenship

Tuning In

• Students watched a video on seven habits of an effective leader

and this was followed by a class discussion.

• Student working folder work was completed.
• Assessments were discussed.
• Students watched videos on types of government.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Write the seven habits of a good leader

(The leader in me) in your notebook.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Holiday homework given.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week:

• Students were made to prepare a 3D bar graph.
• An appreciation from Khan Academy was displayed for the students.
• Introduction to Test of Divisibility was given.
• Test of Divisibility of 2,5 and 10 were made to practiced.

Upcoming activities/ HW:

• Holiday H.W sheet given to the students.
• Make the students do the assignment given to them through Khan Academy.
• Prepare the students with multiplication tables from 2- 12 by asking randomly.
• Make sure that the students spend at least 1 hour/day  by doing the H.W given.

Subject: English

Activities done this week:  

Speaking: Various activities were done to strengthen speaking

skills in students. Students discussed various qualities of a good

leader and how they must be used.

Reading: Students did a novel study on ‘Out of my Mind’ and

empathised with the characters.

Writing: students watched a video on ‘the power of words’

and made a journal entry. They reflected on their Asset test

and wrote about their experience

.
