Weekly lesson report: 15 Date: 17th - 20th September 2018                   Class: 3A

Subject: Learner’s Profile

Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week was being knowledgeable, It was
great to see the children being little inquirers and becoming knowledgeable by showing curiosity and
enthusiasm to answer the questions posed to them, sort, go further and make connections to what
they have learned for their topic Landforms and how they will become more reflective and responsible
towards them.

Upcoming activities / HW:

It was a great pleasure to see the students enjoying the activities in class. The  LEARNER PROFILE
ATTRIBUTE that we will be focussing next week is being knowledgeable, It was great to see the children being little inquirers and becoming knowledgeable by showing curiosity and enthusiasm to answer the questions posed to them, sort, go further and make connections to what they have learned for their topic Landforms and how they will become more reflective and responsible towards them. Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Activities done this week:

THEME:-   Where we are in place & time.

TOPIC:-  Landforms & settlements

CENTRAL IDEA:-  The Earth’s physical geography has an impact on human interactions and
settlements.

LINES OF INQUIRY:-

1. Variability of physical geography around the world - Form
2. The relationship between location & settlement - Connection
3. Impact of human interaction on the human environment - Causation

LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS:

Sorting Out:-

1. Students did an assessment for LOI-2.
2. Students identified and understood the interaction of humans on the physical environment and
3. ways to avoid them.
4. For deeper knowledge, these videos were shown

     4. Students discussed after watching the videos and wrote the effects of human interaction in their
notebooks.

3. Please revise LOI-3 done for assessment on Tuesday.
4. To wrap up the topic summative assessment will be taken on Thursday.

Activities done this week:

LARGE NUMBERS:-

1. Learned 2 & 3 times tables and did a quiz on it.
2. Mental math with Ten Quick Questions.
3. Introduction of CUBE strategy was done.
4. Practiced word problems using cube strategy.

SHAPES:-

1. Students revised with vertices, edges & faces.
2. Revised and practiced on different types of triangles.

1. Recapitulation for assessment done.

3. Degrees of comparison done in class with examples and practice work.
4. Practice work was given for degrees of comparison.
5. Practice work for adjectives and verbs done.

SPELL DRILL:-

1. Broken words activity with UOI vocabulary words done.
2. Sight word spell quiz done.

Events:

Passed: Grandparents day was celebrated on(6-9-2018=>Thursday), children sang songs and
played games with the grandparents and enjoyed a lot. We thank Shafaat Minsaria, Shabbir &
Syed Hyder Hussain’s grandparents for taking the pain & joining us to make this event a
memorable one.
