Activities done this week: 

The learner profile which was followed this week was Inquirer students developed their natural curiosity. They acquired the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and researched to show independence in learning. They actively enjoyed learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.

Upcoming activities / HW:

Students will be Knowledgeable next week. They will develop and use conceptual understanding and explore knowledge across a range of disciplines. Students will engage with issues and ideas that have local and global significance

TRANSDISCIPLINARY THEME - How we express ourselves

Central idea: People use varied media to address issues and bring about change

Activities done this week: 

Students met their mentors and were engage in an in-depth collaborative inquiry into their issues that affect global warming.

Math: Activity on types of fraction was done in class  

Students were introduced to the concept of converting mixed fractions to improper fractions and vise versa

Grammar: 

New words and their pronunciation were discussed 

Reading: 

Students did Author Study using different reading strategies.

Students did one- pager activity as a reading response. 

Writing: 

Journal writing was done

students wrote in their PYPX journals

Listening and speaking: Various activities were done to strengthen speaking skills in students. JAM sessions were done on exhibition topics.
