Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week: The learner profile focus for the week was Reflective. Reflective people give thoughtful consideration to their own learning and personal development. They are able to analyze their strengths and weaknesses in a constructive manner.

Upcoming activities / HW:The learner profile Reflective will be continued for the next week. Students will give their thoughtful consideration to their own learning and personal development. They will be able to analyze their strengths and weaknesses in a constructive manner.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Activities done this week:

TRANSDISCIPLINARY THEME - How the world works.

Central idea:  Energy may be converted, transformed and used to support human progress.

Lines of inquiry:

• Different forms of energy sources (renewable and non-renewable)
• How energy is used (transformation)
• Sustainable energy practices

Finding Out:

• Students homework was discussed in detail
• Students watched videos on sustainable energy practices.

• Bus Stop activity was done in understanding energy sources, transformations and produced energy.

Upcoming activities/ HW:

Design a postcard on any Energy conservation practice.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week:

1. Data handling was introduced.
2. Students solved practice sheets in preparation for their Summative Assessment.

Upcoming activities/ HW:

Come prepared for the Summative Assessment on Monday.

Subject: English

Activities done this week:  

Speaking: Various activities were done to strengthen speaking skills in students. Students discussed various sources of energy and how energy must be conserved.

Reading: Students did a novel study on ‘Out of my Mind’ and empathised with the characters.

Writing: Leveled task cards were assigned to students to check their comprehension skills.

Informational writing was done. Students solved practice sheets in preparation for their Summative Assessment.

Upcoming activities/ HW: write a descriptive passage on the given picture (Shown in class and also uploaded on Bloomz)
