Subject: Learner’s Profile

Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week was being inquirers, It was great to see the children being little inquirers and gaining knowledge by showing enthusiasm

to know and learn, sort, go further and get curious for their topic Landforms by asking questions

and showing keenness to learn different landforms and how they are formed and the differences between them.

Upcoming activities / HW:

It was great pleasure to see the  students enjoying the activities in class. The  LEARNER

PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that we will be focussing next week is being inquirers as we move

ahead with the topic and children become more keen to learn about  LANDFORMS and

find how different landforms were formed in different ways and the differences between them.

Please help them in their inquiry work. Thank you!

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Activities done this week:

THEME:-   Where we are in place & time.

TOPIC:-  Landforms & settlements

CENTRAL IDEA:-  The Earth’s physical geography has an impact on human interactions and settlements.

LINES OF INQUIRY:-

1. Variability of physical geography around the world - Form
2. The relationship between location & settlement - Connection
3. Impact of human interaction on the human environment - Causation

LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS:

Sorting Out:-

1. Students did assessment for LOI-2.
2. Students identified and understood the interaction of humans on physical
3. environment and ways to avoid them.
4. For deeper knowledge these videos were shown

     4. Students discussed after watching the videos and wrote the effects of human

interaction in their notebooks.

3. Please revise LOI-3 done for assessment on Tuesday.
4. To wrap up the topic summative assessment will be taken on Thursday.

LARGE NUMBERS:-

1. Learnt 2 & 3 times tables and did quiz on it.
2. Mental math with Ten Quick Questions.
3. Introduction of CUBE strategy was done.
4. Practised word problems using cube strategy.

SHAPES:-

1. Students revised with vertices, edges & faces.
2. Revised  and practiced on different types of triangles.
