Nursery A Weekly Lesson Report




Weekly lesson report: 7        Date: 30-07-2018 - 3-08-2018      Class:Nursery A

Subject: Learner Profile            
Activities done this week: The learner profile which was focused this week was
“Reflection” as the students reflected by speaking about the uses of eyes and nose.
Upcoming activities / HW: Learner profile “Communicator” will be introduced .


Subject: EVS
Activities done this week: 1.Students watched rhymes on parts of face.


2.Students learnt about nose and types of smells.
3. Students inquired about the uses of nose.
4. Students enjoyed playing bubble splash game. This game helped them develop
eye hand coordination and gross motor skills like jumping and catching the bubbles.
5.Rhymes related to parts of the body were recited.
Here we go round the mulberry bush
Head shoulders knees and toes
Chubby cheeks
Two little hand go clap clap clap
If you are happy and you know clap your hands
Brush brush brush your teeth
Upcoming activities/ HW: 1“Parts of the face” will be carried forward.
2. Uses of tongue  will be introduced.
Homework: Help your child paste the pictures or real objects related to senses
“eyes and nose”.


Subject: Math
Activities done this week: 1. Students watched the number songs.
2.Oral counting from 1-10 was done using fingers.
2. Students learnt the pre mathematical concept “big and small” through
roli poli roli poli big big big roli poli poli small small small with actions.
Upcoming activities/ HW: Oral counting using beads and fingers.
2. Number zero(0) will be introduced.
3.Pre mathematical concept “tall and short” will be introduced.


Subject: English
Activities done this week: 1.Students enjoyed the rhymes session along with the actions.
The rhymes which were recited are:
Humpty dumpty sat on a wall
Rain rain go away
I hear thunder
Johny johny yes papa
Daddy finger
ABCD song
2. Students drew standing line in sand tray. This helped them develop
fine motor skills and eye hand coordination.
3. Sleeping line was introduced through hand gestures.


Upcoming activities/ HW: 1.oral Abcd with phonics.
2. Activities related to sleeping line.
3. Students will draw sleeping line in sand tray.
Homework: Help your child in making a sleeping line with the available materials at home.
Subject: Art


Activities done this week: 1.Students enjoyed doing ear bud printing.
2.This activity helped them develop colour recognition and texture through paints.
3.Students did scribbling on slates.


Upcoming activities/ HW: 1. Scribbling activities.
2. Painting activities.


Subject: Music
Activities done this week: Rhyme session was held.

Subject: P.E-
Activities done this week: 1. Students enjoyed free play.
This helped students develop locomotor skills and gross motor skills.
2.Students did exercises and energizer by roli poli roli poli up up up


Upcoming activities/ HW:Students will do balancing activity to develop their
fine motor and gross motor skills.
2. Students will develop gross motor skills through jumping, crawling and running.

Dear Parents,
Greetings!!!
We are glad to inform you that the tiny toddlers of Nursery are celebrating “RED DAY” on  7 August, (Tuesday) 2018.
Red is the warmest of all colours. It is also the colour of power and courage. In order to infuse the
concept of RED COLOUR to the tiny toddlers, we along with the students will recognize red colour
through various games and play-way activities throughout the day.
Instructions to parents for the RED DAY CELEBRATIONS:--
A. Please send your child at the regular timings i.e. 1:00 P.M.
b. The children are required to come in red dress. (Dress Code :- Frock for Girls and Shirt and pant for Boys)
c. Please send red colour
snacks and a toy.
