C1B Weekly Lesson Report

Weekly lesson report:   4  Date: 2nd - 9th July                           Class: 1B

Subject: Learner Profile            
Activities done this week: Students learned “principled” and “balanced” attribute of learner profile
by learning to participate ethically in group discussions and learning the significance of
being “balanced” possessing all IB attitudes.
Upcoming activities / HW:

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry
Central idea: Awareness of our characteristics, abilities, and interests informs our
learning and development.

Lines of inquiry: ·  
  • Physical, social and emotional characteristics ( form)
  • Similarities and differences between ourselves and others (reflection)
  • Personal abilities and interests(perspective)

Activities done this week: students were able to
  • build a deeper understanding of their and their friend's physical traits by making a portrait of self and gained awareness of others traits through the gallery walk strategy
  • correlate IB attitudes to people they know who display particular attitudes through snowball activity and quacker activity after watching short stories on each attitude
  • synthesize IB attitudes by writing them in their notebooks.
Upcoming activities/ HW: help the student complete the questionnaire sent in the notebook.

Subject: Math
Activities done this week:
  • students reviewed the formative assessment worksheet with the help of base ten blocks and revised number names (11-20).
  • students reflected on their knowledge of number names (1-20) by filling in the missing letters to complete number name in their notebooks.
  • students practiced place value in their firefly workbooks and played the game of canceling out the number called out by the teacher in terms of tens and ones.
  • students will identify place value of digits in number by coloring relevant blocks for a given number in the worksheet.
Upcoming activities/ HW: help the student complete the worksheet sent home

Subject: English
Activities done this week:  
  • students wrote the sight words they learned in spell drill.
  • Flower print was pasted in notebooks and students wrote words beginning with bl/cl blends.
  • students wrote new sight words in their notebooks and learned the same in the class by playing magic word strategy and fun with words game.
Karadipath
Students read the story “Monkeys on a fast” along with the sight words during session 2.

Activities done this week: تمام حروف تہجی  ’’ ا ‘‘ سے ’’ ے ‘‘ تک کے حروف کو اعراب ’’ زبر ‘‘ (۔۔۔۔۔۔َ۔۔۔۔۔) کے ساتھ لکھا اور پڑھا گیا اور ’’ عقلمند مچھلی ‘‘ کی کہانی سے لطف اندوز ہوئے۔
Upcoming activities/ HW: اعراب کو پڑھئے اور ان کو یاد کرئیے۔

Events:
Passed: Van Mahotsav was celebrated on 5th July 2018, Thursday. Student planted trees to celebrate the same.
