Subject: Learner’s Profile

Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week for their new unit Matter & Materials was being INQUIRER & THINKER. It means to gather, ask, do research to get new ideas and put on their thinking caps, scratch their heads about different materials and matter. It was a great to see the children being little inquirers putting on their thinking caps by learning about the different materials and states of matter, understanding and trying to absorb the new information gathered. Children were very excited and enthusiastic to find out more and become keen learners about their unit .

Upcoming activities / HW:

It is always a great pleasure to see the students enjoying the activities in class. 1. Attributes of matter and materials in the environment.(Forms=> How is it like?)
2. Interrelationship of matter’s properties and how it is used.(Connection=>How is it connected to other things?)

Pre-assessment:-

1. Students did a KWL sheet to assess their previous knowledge about the unit started.

Tuning In:-   

1. Discussion on the Theme, descriptor and central idea.
2. Hands on activities.(experiment)

4. Story of Three Little Pigs followed by question & answers
5. Notes were written in the UOI notebooks.
6. New vocabulary given.

LARGE NUMBERS:-

1. Learnt 2, 3, 4, 5 & 10 times tables and did a quiz on it.
2. Mental math with Ten Quick Questions.
3. Practice work for division with examples done.

MEP:-

1. Students started with multiplication(mind map, single digit multiplication & mental mathl)

“knowledgeable” as the students learnt about different ways of transport.

Upcoming activities / HW:

Subject: EVS

Activities done this week: 1: Students differentiated different ways of transport.

They inquired about vehicles that are seen on road, in water and in sky.

This helped students develop communication and cognitive skills.

Upcoming activities/ HW:    Paste the pictures of vehicles that can be seen

on road, Water and sky in the scrap book.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week:

1: Students did backward counting of numbers from 10-1.

2: They recapitulated different shapes.

3: Students worked on identification of numbers through activities.

This helped students develop early math skills, and cognitive skills.

Activities done this week: 1.Students recited the “abcd” song using sound modules and actions.

2. Students recapitulated lower case letters with their phonics and with their

related objects and they did tracing in tarjani book.

3. Letter “Tt and Uu” was introduced along with the objects.

4.We are focussing on lower case letters with phonics and objects.

This helped the students develop early reading, social, language, cognitive skills.

with phonics and its related pictures.

Worksheet given and do the homework given in note book.

This will help child develop gross motor, sensory and cognitive skills.
