Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week was being inquirers, It was great to see the children being little inquirers and gaining knowledge by showing enthusiasm to

know and learn, sort, go further and get curious for their topic Landforms by asking questions

and showing keenness to learn different landforms and how they are formed and the differences between them.

Upcoming activities / HW:

It was great pleasure to see the  students enjoying the activities in class. The  LEARNER

PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that we will be focussing next week is being inquirers as we move

ahead with the topic and children become more keen to learn about  LANDFORMS and

find how different landforms were formed in different ways and the differences between

them. Please help them in their inquiry work. Thank you!

Activities done this week:

THEME:-   Where we are in place & time.

TOPIC:-  Landforms & settlements

CENTRAL IDEA:-  The Earth’s physical geography has an impact on human interactions and settlements.

LINES OF INQUIRY:-

1. Variability of physical geography around the world - Form
2. The relationship between location & settlement - Connection
3. Impact of human interaction on the human environment - Causation

LEARNING ENGAGEMENTS:

Sorting Out:-

1. Students did assessment for LOI-3.
2. Students identified and understood the interaction of humans on physical environment and ways to avoid them through slogans and poster making.
3. For deeper knowledge quiz was taken.

     4. Students reflected on the topic and finished with their reflection sheets.

     5. To sum up the topic Summative assessment was conducted.

CENTRAL IDEA:-  People play different roles in the communities to

which they belong.

Activities done this week: Students went on a visit of our school and

met all the community helpers of our school like Vice Principal,

Administrator, ICT department, Security guard, Ayas, etc.

During the medical check up they met with the General Physician,

ENT doctors and optometrist (eye doctor). Students identified different

tools (real objects) used by a doctor in the class.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Students are going to perform different roles

of community helpers at plabo amusement park during their field trip.

Activities done this week: Recapitulation of letter “Aa - Jj ” was done with

related objects. Kk and Ll was introduced with flash cards and pictures on T.V.

Subject: Maths

Activities done this week: Introduction of number 11 was done with place

value with the help of straws and Introduction of 1+1 pattern was also

done.Recapitulation of number 1-10 was done.
Upcoming activities/ HW: Writing practice of number 1-10 was given in

the practice book.

develop their dynamic balance.

Lines of Inquiry:

Activities done this week:

• Students were introduced to the new topic "Media". They made their own central idea using the lines of inquiry.
• Students discussed about the meaning of media and its importance. They prompted questions related to their topic by using sticky notes.
• Students were tune in to the topic using the statements and arranged them in more true or false. Students identified the statements and engaged themselves to sorted out.
• Students wrote the general notes on the following questions: 1. What is media? 2. What is the purpose of media? 3. Types of media. 4. What media do to influence us? What techniques they will use? Students were able to explain and write about the media.
• Students wrote the definition about the print media, social media and digital media with examples. They sorted out the given images and pasted on a chart paper.Students were able to identify the types of media images and sorted out.

Find the newspaper available in India and write their names in UOI notebook.

Activities done this week:  

Grammar:

• Students were introduced to "Articles". They understood when and where they have to use articles. They completed the sentences using articles.Students were able to use articles in the sentences. Students continued learning articles.

Writing:

• Students did descriptive writing. They learned about the sensory details and wrote a descriptive paragraph about their favorite toy or animal.Students were able to relate different words used for senses to make use of words in descriptive writing and to enhanced vocabulary.
• Students wrote vocabulary words for the topic media.

Listening and Speaking:

• Students listen and read aloud the comprehension.

• Students were able to multiply 3 digit no. by 1 digit.
• Multiplication Key words were given.
• Introduction to multiplication of 2 digit by 2 digit was practiced using Box method , Lattice method and traditional method using a ‘“Y” strategy

• Make sure that students are perfect in the tables failing which the child will not be allowed to attend the PE class.
