Activities done this week:
The learner profile focus for the this week was Reflective. Reflective people give thoughtful consideration to their own learning and personal development. They are able to analyze their strengths and weaknesses in a constructive manner.
Upcoming activities / HW:
The learner profile which will be followed next week will be Inquirer students will develop their natural curiosity. They will acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research to show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.
Subject: Unit Of Inquiry
Activities done this week:
TRANSDISCIPLINARY THEME - Where we are in place and time.
Central idea: Human migration is a response to challenges, risks and opportunities.
Lines of inquiry:
- The reasons why people migrate
- Migration throughout history
- Effects of migration on communities, cultures and individual.
Making Connections:
- Students participated in a Socratic Seminar and did a thorough research on Mumbai Migration. This was followed by a class discussion.
- Students wrote a Formative Assessment on the third line of inquiry.
- Students did a research on Andhra-Telangana bifurcation and made connections to similar migration pattern in the world.
Upcoming activities/ HW:
Write a story about a person who migrated from one country to another country. Include 2 push and pull factors.
Subject: Math
Activities done this week: : The students were able to understand and solve word problems related to addition and subtraction.

Speaking:
Various activities were done to strengthen speaking skills in students. Students discussed stories of family members who migrated to or from India.
Listening:
Students listened to a story ‘The Other Side’ and empathised with migrants who are pushed out of their home country.
Writing:
Students did a comprehension passage on Migration.
Students wrote a journal entry about an imaginative incidence.
Writing strategies were discussed. Students made a mind map on a story about migration with their teacher.
Grammar:
Parts of speech was introduced. Students gained an understanding of ‘subject’ and ‘object’ in a sentence.

Complete the given worksheet on Nouns.

Activities done this week: مہاجر نامہ کے عنوان سے “ مشاعرہ “ منعقد ہوا ۔ اس کے علاوہ اردو کی پہلی کتاب کا دوسرا سبق پڑھایا اور لکھوایا گیا ۔ مشاعرہ میں آنے والے تمام والدیں کا شکرگذار ہوں ۔ کیونکہ مشاعرہ بطور ایسسمنٹ لیا گیا گیا ۔ جن طلباء نے شرکت نہیں کیا ان کے والدیں ملاقات کریں تو گفتگو کی جا سکے ۔
