PP1A Weekly Lesson Report


Weekly lesson report:   3     Date: 2-7-2018 to 6-7-2018

Subject: Learner Profile            
Activities done this week: Students were given free play and guided to arrange the manipulatives used by them. [ Learner profile caring was focused]  
Upcoming activities / HW:Students will be divided into groups and given tasks to complete and observe how they work in group.[Attitude Cooperation will be focused]

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry
THEME:-   How we express ourselves
TOPIC:-  Playing is fun
CENTRAL IDEA:-  Through play we express our feelings and ideas and come to new understanding

LINES OF INQUIRY:-
  • Communicating through play
  • Imaginative use of materials
  • The role of toys in play



Activities done this week:Tuning In activity was done
Students were made to watch the video on play and inquired how do they feel when they play alone and when they play with their friends
Upcoming activities/ HW: Students will watch the story about playing with friends and get benefited through it.

Subject: English
Activities done this week: Recap of strokes was done. Curves were introduced followed by written work in the worksheet.
Upcoming activities/ HW: Letter Aa will be introduced followed by different activities
Subject: Math
Activities done this week: Number 1 was introduced followed by written work in firefly .
Upcoming activities/ HW : Recap of number 1 will be done and number 2 will be introduced followed by different activities. Please help  your child in completing the  page numbers 1 and 8 as HW in Math firefly.



Subject: Art
Activities done this week: 1.Students enjoyed doing scribbling activity with crayons on papers.
2.They also enjoyed doing scribbling with chalk on slates.

Subject: P.E
Activities done this week: Students thoroughly enjoyed and actively participated in group activity.{students were made into small groups and asked  all the participants to collect the particular colour hula hoop and arrange it in another corner of PE room.
Upcoming activities/ HW:Students will be given balloons and asked to  blow and fly it in the air to their level and catch it again to develop their eye hand coordination.

Weekly lesson report:  04 Date:  02 July - 06 July                                        Class: 5B
Subject: Learner Profile                     
Activities done this week:

The learner profile focus for this week was Reflective. Reflective people give thoughtful consideration to their own learning and personal development. They are able to analyze their strengths and weaknesses in a constructive manner.


Upcoming activities / HW:
The learner profile which will be followed next week will be Inquirer students will develop their natural curiosity. They will acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research to show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives.


Subject: Unit Of Inquiry
Activities done this week: TRANSDISCIPLINARY THEME - Where we are in place and time.
Central idea:  Human migration is a response to challenges, risks and opportunities.
Lines of inquiry:
  • The reasons why people migrate
  • Migration throughout history
  • Effects of migration on communities, cultures and individual.
Finding out:
  • Students watched a video on India-Pakistan partition to gain an understanding of India before Independence.
  • Students read the poem ‘Where the mind is without fear’ by Rabindranath Tagore and gained an understanding about ‘early India’ migrations.
  • Students watched a video on Jhansi ki Rani in getting a clear picture of struggles during Independence.
  • Formative Assessment in LOI-2 was conducted.

Activities done this week:  The students were able to learn co-ordinate geometry ,, plot the co-ordinates on the graph and relate it with the topic of Migration. An activity based on the topic was done in the class.

Speaking:
Various activities were done to strengthen speaking skills in students. Students discussed stories of family members who migrated to or from India.
Reading:
Students read the poem ‘Where the mind is without fear’ by Rabindranath Tagore and did an illustration.
Writing:
Students were taught elements of writing a story. Students wrote a small introduction of a typical morning.

Activities done this week: مہاجر نامہ کے ۲۰ اشعار لکھوائے ، پڑھائے گئے اسے زبانی یاد کرنا ہے تاکہ اختبار اچھا دے سکیں ۔
اس کے " حمد " یاد کرنا ہے تاکہ اسے سب کے سامنے اچھے ترنم سے پیش کر سکیں ۔ یہ دونوں چیزیں طلباء کو ای میل کے ذریعہ پاور پوائنٹ میں بھیجا گیا ہے ۔ جن لوگوں نے کاپی میں نہیں لکھا وہ اسے لکھ لیں ۔ اور زبانی یاد بھی کر لیں ۔
