Activities done this week:
- Students watched video about earthquake, hurricane and flood. They asked questions to clear their doubts and to get more information. They discussed their views in detail with peers(Rally Robin). Students were able to observe and explain their own ideas and understanding about the disasters.
- Students discussed about the natural hazards and wrote questions on post aids to clear their doubts and pasted on a question wall. They wrote definitions about the different types of natural hazards.Students were able to identify the questions and define the different types of natural disasters.
- Students watched a video about flood, landslide, tornado. They wrote the definition about the different hazards.
- Students learnt the definitions about the different natural disasters. They were engaged in an activity called TIC-TAC-TOE. They rolled the dice and answered the questions related to the disaster and recorded in their notebook. They also marked the criteria.Students were able to identify the question and answer the question related to the disasters.
- Students demonstrated their understanding about the different types of disasters on a charts in groups using the questions given for Inquiry work. 1. What is disaster? 2. How did disaster happen? 3. What makes it happens? 4. place or example of the disaster?

Activities done this week:
Grammar: Students learnt about the quality adjectives and quantity adjectives through quiz activity. Students were able to describe and identify the quality and quantity adjectives.
Writing: Students continued learning the writing process for biography writing. They evaluated their mistakes using the ARMS strategy. Students choose any one type of natural disaster and wrote an acrostic poem. Students did spell drill and journal writing on "Write about a disastrous trip or vacation."
Reading: Students read the task cards of their level and find the adjectives. They wrote the vocabulary words related to their UOI topic Natural hazards. Students were able to find the adjectives to enhance their vocabulary.
Listening and Speaking: Students listen and read aloud about their acrostic poems written on Natural disaster and make their own rhythm.
Upcoming activities/ HW: learn spellings from 11 to 20 given in literature and spell drill notebook.
