Subject: Learner Profile :-  Communicator.           

As the inquiry is in the going further stage, the learner profile attribute  ‘Inquirer’ was mainly focussed this week.

Activities done this week:Theme: How we express ourselves

Central idea: A variety of signs and symbols facilitates local and global communication

Concepts: form, function, connection

Lines of inquiry:

• Signs and symbols
• Reasons for the development of communication systems
• Specialised systems of communication

Activities done this week: Students did formative assessment on types of communication.

Students did an activity on Braille language, they wrote the names of the week in braille language.

Students did formative assessment on specialized system of communication.

Students did an activity on braille-they wrote the letters of their name using braille language.

Upcoming activities/ HW:   Identify a strong useful message which you want to give to the world(with your parent’s help).

Activities done this week:

-Students learned counting 2 digit numbers using abacus

-Students learned different types of patterns(repeating,growing,shrinking),and also created their own pattern using different shapes and figures

-Assessment was taken up for number system(place value,number name,expanded form and standard form)

-Integrated math with UOI(Roman numbers)

Subject: English

Activities done this week:  Reading- Students learned the words the from the list of given sight words.

Writing-Students learned more on punctuation marks,they rewrote the sentences using proper punctuation marks.

Students were introduced to reading comprehension. They learned how to read and understand the passage and answer the question related to the passage.

Students did assessment on noun.

They rewrote sentences with correct capitalization.

Activities done this week:   مفرد حروف تہجی کے وہ حروف جو بعد میں کسی حرف سے نہیں ملتے ہیں ان کے بارے میں جانا اور ان کے ساتھ آردو میں گنتی ۱۔۱۰ تک سکھا اور ان تمام حروف و گنتی کو لکھا گیا۔                                                                                                                                                          Upcoming activities/ HW: آزادی کے دن کے لئے اُردو میں کوئی ایک مختصر نظم کو یاد کرئیے۔
