Weekly lesson report:   17 Date: 1st - 5th October 2018       Class 1C

Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week: Students were “reflective” this week as they

selected their favourite worksheets for their portfolio and critical “thinkers”

as they completed student reflection sheet on the previous topic.

Title: Homes

Central Idea: People build homes in different places and different ways

Student reflection sheet completed by students.

Tuning In to the unit done by reading out student location on a map.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week:

Odd and Even numbers introduced through games, making pairs.

Difference between Odd and even written in a notebook.

Students wrote numbers from 1-50 and circled even and odd

numbers in different colours. Students taught to look

for the last digit in any number to identify whether a number is odd or even.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Homework worksheets are given and

number names 1-50 to be written in notebooks.

Subject: English

Activities done this week:  

Students learned the meaning of articles and the usage of articles through examples.

They wrote the definition in a notebook. Sentences were written in notebooks

and students were asked to select the correct articles.

15 sight words were written in a notebook.

Karadipath: Students learned sight words and sentences

and listened to the story “just one paisa” focussing on

voice modulation and participated in conversation practice in Session 18-20.

Upcoming activities/ HW: 2 homework worksheets are given and

homework is given in Spell drill and grammar notebooks.

با, پا, تا, ٹا, سے شا تک پڑھتے ہوئے لکھا گیا۔

Activities done this week: Students did inquiry on the tools used by the community helper.Students enjoyed PLABO visit.They had a good explosure of various communities and the tools used by them.Enjoyed a lot in play area in PLABO.

Activities done this week: Recapitulation of letter “Aa - Ll ” was done with related objects, through identification and different task activities and  by written work in Firefly.Letter Mm will be introduced with related hand on activities followed by written work in Firefly.  

Karadi Path: Students did action commands and enjoyed power music and power story followed by tracing in tarjani and also did finger in session 19.

Activities done this week:Recapitulation of numbers 1- 20  in sequence  was done. Written practice numbers from 1 - 10 with place values through different number activities  in the number book.

Activities done this week: 1. Topic “fruits” were recapitulated to the students

through flash cards, images on tv and fruit toys.

2. Students learnt about different fruits and seeds they have.

3. Students played with fruit puzzles, flash cards and toys.

This helped students develop cognitive, sensory, fine motor, gross motor and

social skills.

2.Recapitulation of pre mathematical concepts was done ( few and many).

This helped students develop pre math skills, cognitive skills and listening,

stories for the sessions which were done in the class can be found in the

given karadi path cds).

This helped students develop vocabulary, listening, communicating skills

and motor skills.

4. Students watched and recited many rhymes. And “ABCD” song with

phonics was recited.

Activities done this week:

The learner profile which was followed this week was Inquirers.

They developed their natural curiosity, and acquired the skills

necessary to conduct inquiry and research to show independence

in learning. They actively enjoyed learning and this love of learning

will be sustained throughout their lives.

Students will continue to be Inquirer this week. They will develop

• Students were made to prepare a 3D bar graph.
• Introduction to Test of Divisibility was given.
• Test of Divisibility of 2,5 and 10 were made to practiced.

• Make the students do the assignment given to them through Khan Academy.
• Prepare the students with multiplication tables from 2- 12 by asking randomly.
• Make sure that the students spend at least 1 hour/day  by doing the H.W given.

Speaking: Various activities were done to strengthen

speaking skills in students. Students discussed various

qualities of a good leader and how they must be used.

Reading: Students did Author study on ‘Roald Dahl’.

Writing: students watched a video on ‘the power of words’

and made a journal entry. They reflected on their Asset test

and wrote about their experience.
