Activities done this week:

The learner profile attributes we focused this week are reflective and

courageous and communicator  as the students dressed up as story characters and narrated stories as their summative assessment.  They expressed and shared their emotions and feelings regarding the different stories, characters and the various situations for the assessments.

Activities done this week : . Summative Assessments was conducted.The  students narrated stories and dressed up as story characters for their summative assessment task.  They identified and related the varied emotions felt by the story characters in different situations accordingly.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: Students understood  the concept of adding two groups of objects . They were involved in understanding the concept of addition by adding two groups of manipulatives. They counted  two groups of manipulatives altogether to find out the total.Students were engaged in writing and repeating the definition of addition in their notebooks.

Subject: English

Activities done this week:Students understood and identified the difference between the usage of  'This' and 'That'. Students were engaged in writing and repeating the definition of the usage of 'This' and 'That to  apprehend the concept of the same.' Students wrote 'This' and 'That 'sentences in their notebooks thereby relating the concept of near and far in relation to 'This' and 'That'.

Formative Assessments for LOI 2 and 3 were conducted.The  students narrated stories using different ways such as illustrations , puppets etc. as their assessment in LOI 3.  They identified and related the varied emotions felt by the story characters in different situations accordingly as their assessment for LOI 2.

Activities done this week:  The students were engaged in recapitulating, interpreting and illustrating data information through tally marks in their notebooks. Recapitulation of  days of the week and ordinal numbers was done and an assessment was conducted in the same.

Subject: English

Activities done this week: Students were involved in strengthening their reading and comprehending skills by reading short story passages in their notebooks. They  understood the difference of verbs and nouns through various strategies.Students were engaged in identifying and differentiating between the nouns and the verbs through a worksheet activity.They also strengthened their understanding of adjectives by writing describing words for watermelon and themselves in the notebooks. Assessments were also conducted.

courageous and communicator  as the students created and listened to stories.  They expressed and shared their emotions and feelings regarding the different stories, characters and the various situations.

Activities done this week : .The students were engaged in listening to different stories and analysing their feelings towards the story characters, situations endings etc.  through interesting story telling sessions and classroom discussions. They  were engaged in recollecting the   stories they listened to and sort and identify the varied emotions related to the characters and the different situations of the story through an interactive follow up worksheet

. They also revised their learning of story elements through an illustration worksheet.

Activities done this week:  The students were engaged in interpreting and illustrating data information through tally marks in their notebooks. Recapitulation of  days of the week was done They  learnt  and wrote  ordinal numbers ( 1st to 10th ) in the notebooks. They did various worksheets to strengthen their understanding of the ordinal numbers concept involving different strategies.

application skills etc. They  understood the meaning of verbs as action words through various
strategies.Students wrote the definition of verbs in their notebooks. They also came up with verbs
on their own understanding and wrote the same in their notebooks

The LOI 3 Was also introduced to the students.

techniques of telling stories,  through interesting story telling sessions.

They read and rewrote   stories using the rebus story method.
They also revised their learning of story elements. FA 1 was conducted in LOI 1.

Activities done this week:  The students were engaged in writing and learning number names from
11 to 20  in their notebooks.They also did data handling and pictograph worksheets.
Students were engaged in analyzing and interpreting information from the data depicted in

Activities done this week : .The students were engaged in listening and relating to different stories, their themes and their morals through interesting story telling sessions.

They created their own stories and used different puppets in their presentation of the story to the class.They did follow up worksheets of rebus reading and picture reading story.

Activities done this week: Students were involved in reading and comprehending  short story passages through worksheets. They applied their comprehending and understanding skills to answer the related questions thereby enhancing their reading skills, vocabulary skills , application skills etc..They will  revisited the 'ug' family words through a story passage worksheet. They  revisited the sight words list 3 in their notebooks.

Upcoming activities/ HW: practice reading  the sight word list without phonetics. .
