Subject: Learner Profile            

Activities done this week: The learner profile which was focussed this week was
“communicator” as the students spoke about the uses of tongue and types of
taste( sour, bitter, sweet and salty).

Upcoming activities / HW: Learner profile “Communicator” will be focussed.

Subject: EVS

Activities done this week: 1. Red day was celebrated.

Students had Show and tell session. Students spoke few words on the toy
that they bought for red day. The motive behind celebrating colour day was
to help students develop communication, personal and cognitive skills.
This also helped them in colour recognition.

2.Students had a taste test. The taste test had four basic flavours that our
taste buds detect: sour, bitter, salty and sweet.

2. Students inquired and discussed the parts of face and their senses by
pasting the pictures in the given blank picture.

These activities helped students develop personal skills and fine motor skills.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Assessment for parts of the face will be taken to test their
knowledge through matching.

Homework: Help your child paste the pictures or real objects related to senses in the
given flap folder.

Subject: Math

Activities done this week: 1. Students recited number song.

2. Students learnt the pre mathematical concept “In and out” by forming a circle.

3.Pre mathematical concept “up and down” will be introduced.

Activities done this week: 1.Students enjoyed the story session.

2. Students had a show and tell session with the toys that they bought for the red day celebration.

This helped students develop vocabulary, listening and communicating skills.

The rhymes which were recited for red day were:

2. Slanting lines will be introduced.

2. Students did scribbling on slates.

This helped students develop fine motor skills and sensory skills.

Activities done this week: 1. Students enjoyed playing with their toys that they had bought for red day.

This helped students develop locomotor skills and gross motor skills.

Students enjoyed free play in the PE room with their favourite sliders, tunnel,
tricycle and many more.

Upcoming activities/ HW:Students will do balancing activity to develop their fine motor
and gross motor skills.

“Reflection” as the students reflected by speaking about the uses of eyes and nose.

Upcoming activities / HW: Learner profile “Communicator” will be introduced .

Subject: EVS

Activities done this week: 1.Students watched rhymes on parts of face.

2.Students learnt about nose and types of smells.

3. Students inquired about the uses of nose.

4. Students enjoyed playing bubble splash game. This game helped them develop
eye hand coordination and gross motor skills like jumping and catching the bubbles.

5.Rhymes related to parts of the body were recited.

2. Students drew standing line in sand tray. This helped them develop
fine motor skills and eye hand coordination.

Dear Parents,

Greetings!!!

We are glad to inform you that the tiny toddlers of Nursery are celebrating “RED DAY” on  7 August, (Tuesday) 2018.

Red is the warmest of all colours. It is also the colour of power and courage. In order to infuse the
concept of RED COLOUR to the tiny toddlers, we along with the students will recognize red colour
through various games and play-way activities throughout the day.

Instructions to parents for the RED DAY CELEBRATIONS:--

A. Please send your child at the regular timings i.e. 1:00 P.M.

b. The children are required to come in red dress. (Dress Code :- Frock for Girls and Shirt and pant for Boys)

c. Please send red colour

snacks and a toy.

Activities done this week: Students did Inquiry about the  different types of play. Inquirer LP was focussed.

Upcoming activities / HW: Students will play with the manipulatives given to them and show their creativity and make new things {thinker LP will be focussed}

Activities done this week: Introduction of letter Cc was done with related objects.Flip book was made by the students.

Karadi Path : Students did action commands and enjoyed rhyme “Kaa Kaa shrek the crow “followed by tracing in tarjani books.

Upcoming activities/ HW:  Letter Dd will be introduced.Make your child practice letter ‘Aa’ ‘Bb’ and Cc.Help your child  to complete the page number 88 in Firefly book .

Activities done this week:Number 3 was introduced followed by written work in Firefly

Upcoming activities/ HW : Number 4 will be introduced with related activities.Help your child in completing page numbers 5 and 6.Make them practice numbers 1, 2, and 3 with values.

Subject: Art

Activities done this week:  Students learnt the basic patterns of arts i.e; standing line, sleeping line and zig zag line. This activity was done by using a wool and the students enjoyed making the patterns with wool and pasted in their scrap books.

Upcoming activities/ HW: Students will do vegetable printing.

Subject: Music

Activities done this week: Children enjoyed Chandamama rhyme in music class. Building Mosque rhyme was introduced.Students played casio keys.

Upcoming activities/ HW..Students will play casio keys and will recite new rhyme.

Activities done this week:. Students did colour identification game to improve their eye hand coordination. Students enjoyed free play .
