Activities done this week: IB Learner Attribute Thinker was focused

to enhance thinking skill about the application of principles in machines.

Upcoming activities / HW: IB Learner Attribute thinker would be

focused to develop thinking skills.

Subject: Unit Of Inquiry

Topic: Simple Machine

Lines of Inquiry:

• The principles and types of simple and compound machines
• Inventions which use the principles of simple machines.
• The application of simple machines in our lives.

Activities done this week:

• Students understood different types of simple machines along with

             its examples and diagrams.

• Students explained and prepared Frayers Model for understanding

             the Simple Machine.

• Students wrote the definitions of Energy, Work,Force,Gravity,Effort and

             the concept of gravity and friction is described also how these are

             interrelated in using simple machines.

• Students also wrote definitions of Fulcrum,Load,Efforts and its uses.

Upcoming activities/ HW:

Prepare Frayers Model for one of the simple machine “Screw”.

• Students practiced different types of patterns.
• Shape pattern,  number pattern, symmetry and mirror image.

• An assessment in Abacus will be conducted on Friday

Writing:

Students were introduced types of letters.

Students write various elements of Informal letters.

Speaking:

Students discussed verbs.

Students made a classroom discussion about the various types of

  “greetings” and “body” of an informal letter.

Reading:

Students read the novel ‘Eric Carle’ and enhance their reading skills
