Subject: Learner’s Profile

Activities done this week          

The LEARNER PROFILE ATTRIBUTE that was explained this week was being BALANCED. It means
to do things in the correct proportion. It was great to see the children being little inquirers putting on
their thinking caps by identifying their needs and wants and also getting enthusiasm to find out more
about their new topic ECONOMICS and its terminology. They even reflected and tried to buy only the
things that they need.

Upcoming activities / HW:

It was great pleasure to see the  students enjoying the activities in class. The  LEARNER PROFILE
ATTRIBUTE that we will be focussing next week is being BALANCED. It means to do things in the

THEME:-   How we organize ourselves.

TOPIC:-  Economics

CENTRAL IDEA:-  Economic activity relies on systems of production, exchange and consumption of
goods and services.

LINES OF INQUIRY:-

1. The role of supply and demand - Function(How does it work?)
2. The relationship between location & settlement - Connection(How is it connected to other things?)
3. Our responsibility as a consumer - Responsibility(What is our responsibility?)

2. through hands-on experience(Field trip to Masqati Dairy Farm).

Activities done this week:

LARGE NUMBERS:-

1. Learned 2 & 3 times tables and did a quiz on it.
2. Mental math with Ten Quick Questions.

DATA HANDLING:-

1.  Students practiced tally marks, pictographs and bar graphs and learned to interpret and
answer the questions given.

PROFIT & LOSS:-(IN INTEGRATION TO UOI TOPIC)

1. Introduction to the terms Cost price, selling price, profit, loss.

SPELL DRILL:-

1. Misspelled words activity with UOI vocabulary words done.
2. Sight word spell quiz was done.
